Your Guide to Melaka’s Food Scene
I’ve been to Kuala Lumpur and I have to say that the city is just so amazing. During my
stay, some locals have pointed me towards the direction of Melaka, which is one of the
most amazing cities in Malaysia due to its rich history.
So, I went there and I’ve indeed gone to some amazing places in the metro. Little did I
know that the city is also known for its rich food culture as well; much the same as
This article will serve as your guide to Melaka’s food scene and right off the bat, I am
going to tell you that the food here is just so amazing that I really had to write about it.
I’ve also come across some gorgeous escort girls who’ve accompanied me in my foodie journey.
I love noodles. Whether it is pasta or some noodle soup, I will definitely get my hands
on them. That being said, one of Melaka’s locals actually pointed me towards the
direction of a great noodle house known as Duck Mee.
This restaurant used to be inside Bukit Beruang’s food court but has since relocated into
their new venue.
Anyway, there is a reason why this place is called as such and that is because the broth
is infused with rich duck flavors. Not only that but the chef really doesn’t skimp with the
meat as you get a good amount in every serving.
Lois Bak Kut Teh
I seriously urge you to sample the city’s best-ever Beef Bak Kut Teh at the Lois Bak Kut
Teh. Although you will not get a burst of flavor on your first bite, the taste just gets better
and better after every serving.
If you want to sample some amazing noodles with pork ribs as its main soup base, then
head on over to Hing Loong Restoran to find some amazing Taiwan Beef and Pork Noodles.
A lot of people eat here mainly because the soup base has been boiling for hours,
meaning, all of the meaty goodness and flavors are already infused in the soup.
Ming Pork Sate
Melaka is filled with eateries that serve Pork Satay, but I haven’t tasted one that is
better than what is being served at Ming Pork Sate.
Unlike the Satay house of others, the Satay here has a distinct pineapple flavor which is
probably the reason why a lot of people flock here.
Chuen How Restaurant
You can find Peranakans all throughout Malaysia, but there is a concentration in Melaka
because the early descendants actually populate the area than any other city in Malaysia.
That being said, I suggest that you go to the Chuen How Restaurant to sample some of
its amazing Char Siew Rice. This is just a rice dish where the main star is the Char Siew
pork and unlike other restaurants that serve this particular kind of dish, nothing is better
than the one served in this restaurant.
